The Jumeirah Carlton Tower London is under refurbishment until Autumn 2020, in the meantime we’re sharing a stunning Asian wedding from 2018.
U&S planned a beautiful civil ceremony and refined reception at the luxury hotel in Knightsbridge. The beautiful conservatory was set as the backdrop for their white ceremony.
The original ideas that swirled around for cake were damask patterns, sugar flowers, and gold leaves. We scheduled a consultation and got to work deciding what the dos and don’ts were. During the consultation, a few new ideas popped up amongst the firm favourites (damask!).
One of the new ideas was incorporating the now confirmed cherry blossom theme into the cake as well as ruffles. Ruffles are a technique that adds a feminine look to your wedding cake without being frou-frou. They feature often in classic cake design and are very effective.
We went with a very soft pink base and an ivory damask pattern on alternating tiers, little sugar cherry blossoms in the sugar rose arrangements and a small row of ruffles along the bottom tier.
After an outfit change, it was time for the beautiful wedding reception. The venue was dressed beautifully in the cherry blossom theme by premier asian wedding decor company 1SW Events. Madhus catered the event and took care of the on the day planning meticulously.
How stunning are these couple portraits? Even with the neutral pinky-nude colour palette there is such richness in the images. Beautiful asian wedding photography with a luxurious feel is Samsara Studios specialty.
